Adjust
Height to Fit to Beam Option Added to Posts |
| |
In
past versions of SoftPlan, the Posts needed to be edited
for height to make sure they would come up flush to the
underside of Beams. Version 13 gives you the automation
for a Post to recognize and calculate the proper height
to have it meet a beam drawn above by simply selecting this
option in the Post Edit menu. |

Beam
Selection Dialog Made Larger to Display More Walls at Once |
| |
The
dialog where a beam is selected to draw will now display
with a longer listing. This saves time from having to scroll
through a shorter list, as well as, allowing to more easily
make a selection. |

Beams
Visible in All Modes |
| |
Beams
can be drawn in either normal Drawing mode or in Floor System
mode. The ‘Visible in All Modes’ option allows
the beam to be seen when the mode of the drawing changes,
or to only be visible in the mode it was drawn in. |

Drawing
Support Beams in a Floor System |
| |
Support
Beams can also be drawn in Floor System mode if you require
additional support for the floor joists. Beams drawn in
Floor System mode will default to the bottom of the floor
plan, placing the beam flush with the floor system. Floor
joists can then be drawn to hang from the support beams.
Drawing beams in Floor System mode is the same as drawing
beams in the normal drawing mode. |

Flush
Beams Added to Floor Systems |
| |
When
drawing Beams in Floor System mode, they will draw flush
with the bottom of the Beam at the top of wall (from the
plan below). The Beams will be placed at the bottom of the
current floor plan set at the zero baseline. |

Import/Export
Allows Individual or Groups of Beams to Be Moved from System
to System |
| |
Version
13 offers a much more flexible way of customizing Beam lists.
One benefit is the ability to pick and choose what specific
beams to Import and Export from the list. You can choose
individual or groups of beams for transfer.
Another new benefit is the ability to take Beams that were
created within an existing Drawing and adding them to the
System to use again in another project. When Exporting,
you can select which beams are to be saved to a File. When
Importing, you can select which beams to take from the System
to the Drawing level; the Current Drawing to the System
level, or from an exported File.

Beams Are Now Possible |

beams, where one end of the beam is set at a different offset
than the other end. This can be used in applications where
support is needed but will not be horizontal. |
