Separate Pen Assignments Added for Shape Outline and
Texture
|
|
SoftPlan Version 12 has added a new
feature for Shapes and their pen assignments. Now you can specify a unique
pen number for the outline of the shape versus the texture of the shape.
In previous versions the same pen number was used for both the shape
outline and texture.
|
-
1. Select File > System
Options or Drawing Options > Pen Setup.
-
From the Item Group pull down
select Shapes.
-
Unique pen numbers can be
assigned to the Shape Outline and the Shape Texture.
-
When a shape is drawn with a
texture, the shape will print the outline and the texture with
their appropriate pen assignment.
-
When a shape is edited, the
default pen assignments can be turned off to allow a specific pen
number to be used for just that shape.

Cross Section Details Have Specific Pen Assignments
|
|
In previous versions of Softplan, the
pen settings for Cross section Details were controlled by Shapes. Version
12 now allows for the selection of individual pen assignments.
|
-
Select Draw> Detail >
Section Detail. This section provides a multitude of cross section
details to draw.
-
When picking one, the status
bar will display the default pen setting, which can be edited to a
different setting as well as the dimensions being drawn for the
detail.
Another option is to edit the item to
change the pen setting:
- 1. Select Edit > Edit
Item.
- Select the Section Detail by
clicking the From button on the item.
- Under the Print pens section, the
print pen can be enabled by placing a check in it’s box. There are
separate options for Outline pen and Texture pen. The outline defines
the pen setting for the basic outline of the item. The texture
defines the pen setting for any texture detail within the basic
outline of the item (e.g., concrete hatching).
|
|
This feature allows for the
selection of different print pen assignments for any Section detail
outline and texture.
