To
simplify your decision, we’ve provided a brief summary
of the differences between SoftPlan and SoftPlan Lite software
and a comprehensive
listing where you can search a specific feature for availability.
Choosing
between SoftPlan and SoftPlan Lite can be broken down into
five major categories of functionality in the design process:

Customization
The most important difference by far, SoftPlan
allows the user to create new wall types, windows,
beams, joists, and more while SoftPlan Lite offers
only symbols that have been preloaded. A greater
number of System Configuration options are also
available in SoftPlan.

Automatic
Framing
Automatic wall and roof framing, working with
studs, rafters, and trusses and other useful framing
commands are included in the SoftPlan package.
SoftPlan Lite has simplified versions of some
of these commands.

Material
Take-Offs
SoftPlan Lite calculates your materials and allows
you to input pricing on a design- by- design basis.
SoftPlan has the ability to do a tremendous amount
of custom configuration including cost mark-ups,
waste factors, labor costing, etc.
