Why is SoftView 3D slower to generate when I have Electrical Symbols drawn?

Symbols contain embedded light sources which can take more time to generate. These are included in Electrical Symbols and Symbols that contain lights. To save time, turn off the light sources before generating the 3D model. In 3D go to Options > Render Options and select the option for “Turn off Lights in Symbols."
