While attempting to draw a line on top of another item, SoftPlan continually opens that item's editing menu. How do I change this?

You are using the From > To method of drawing (Left click, right click) and you have configured your right mouse button as a double click, which performs as an edit in SoftPlan. Most mouse properties can be modified through Start > Settings > Control Panel > and selecting the mouse icon.
