Where do I set up dimension and extension options?
 

There are two different places from which these can be set up.

1. From the Dimension pull down menu you can set up both of these options by using Dimension Format and Extension Format. Settings are generic based. As an example, all exterior walls will conform to one setting such as extension from exterior of stud.

2. The alternative method is to set up your options from the Wall Definition menu, which allows each wall to have settings specific to its design criteria. These settings are accessible from File > System/Drawing Options > Define Wall > Edit. From the Wall/Beam Selection list choose the wall you want to modify, and a list of materials for that wall will be displayed below. Each material will have the option of a dimension and/or extension setup, allowing for greater flexibility.
