Architects Quite Content Using SoftPlan - A survey was recently sent to SoftPlan customers who are professional architects to find out their satisfaction with the software and also to determine what improvements could be made. We thank all who completed the survey and, as always, appreciate your feedback. Also we would like to share the results of the survey to the rest of our customer base as we were very pleased with the results. |
The most significant points from the survey are: |
- 45% of the architects surveyed formerly used an Autodesk product for their drawing creation (AutoCAD®, AutoCAD LT®, Autodesk® Architectural Desktop, Revit® Architecture)
- 68% of their work is residential (on average)
- 52% are AIA members
|
When asked why they selected SoftPlan: |
- 95% said they were looking for something easier to use
- 96% said they were looking for faster creation of construction documents
- 40% said they were looking to lower the per seat design software cost
|
When asked if SoftPlan had met their expectations: |
- 94% expectations were met in ease of use
- 96% expectations were met in fast construction documents
- 85% expectations were met with SoftView (of that note the 15% whose expectations were not met were all running SoftPlan Version 11 or 12)
- 100% expectations were met in ease of drawing revisions
- 90% said SoftPlan improved their customer’s experience
|
And the most important statistic of all: |
- 91% would recommend SoftPlan to other architects
|
All in all, this survey solidified that SoftPlan’s architect customers are very happy with the product. It seems that architects, as a group, are more receptive to moving away from their old 2D AutoCAD ways of the past. They now seem to realize that they must have 3D at all stages of the job and SoftPlan is a powerful tool in helping to accomplish this. |
