2009 International Builders’ Show: A Big Hit for SoftPlan! - The 2009 International Builders’ Show (IBS) was held in Las Vegas, NV on January 20-23, 2009. The show returned to Las Vegas after being located in Orlando, FL for the last four years. Version 14.4.0 Released - The SoftPlan Version 14.4.0 patch has been released. Some general maintenance work is included in the patch, however the majority of changes implemented for SoftPlan Version 14.4.0 are in support of SoftPlan's Educational and various International versions. |

SoftPlan Educational Program Released in Australia - The SoftPlan Educational Version was released for the first time in Australia at the end of December 2008. Like teachers in North America, teachers in Australia are choosing to use the SoftPlan Educational Version in the classroom, rather than attempting the daunting task of teaching AutoCAD®. So far schools such as Curtin University, Australian Technical College, and the Tasmanian Skills Institute have chosen to utilize SoftPlan in their classrooms. Architectural Drafting, the free educational curriculum for teachers using SoftPlan EDU is currently being rewritten for the Australian Educational audience. Rijus Home Design Wins Local Toronto Award - In January, longtime SoftPlan users, Rijus Home & Design Ltd., were awarded the HomeStars Best of ’08 Awards as Toronto’s Best Architect/Designer. For over 25 years, Rijus Home & Design have been serving the Niagara, Haldimand, and Ontario areas of Canada.
