Is there a Search command for finding symbols in the different libraries?

No. But SoftPlan lets you sort symbols for easy retrieval. Use the File > Library > Symbol > Sort Items command to arrange your symbols.

Yes. It can be found under Draw > Symbol. Pick a library, select the Search button. In the prompt, type the item you are searching for and press Search. This will list all symbols found containing the word that you specified and the symbol library where they are located.
