I have 3 different walls meeting at a T-intersection. How can I get them to join properly?
The Wall Join Tolerance setting can be reduced in order to join the walls together properly. The default Wall Join
Tolerance is 6”, which means that any walls that find each other within this tolerance will try to join together.
By reducing the wall join tolerance in this case we can control the join more effectively at the intersection. Edit
these walls on an individual basis. Edit > Edit Item. Select the ‘Wall Joins’ button. Check the box to activate
the appropriate end of the wall where the T-intersection exists. Enter a lower value (i.e. 2”) for each of the 3
wall ends that are meeting at this intersection. Once this has been done, perform a Cleanup (Ctrl + C) and the
walls should join properly. If the intersection is still not forming as desired, it may be necessary to adjust the
walls to intersect properly after reducing the Wall Join Tolerances. Note that a Wall Join Tolerance of 6” is
recommended as the default setting and should only be reduced when needed on a wall-by-wall basis.
