How do I ensure that my opening is 6" from the wall corner?

By pulling an extension from the opening, you will then be able to string a dimension from the wall to the opening and edit the dimension accordingly.

To ensure that the opening is 6” from the corner, go to File > Drawing Options > Dimension Options. Type in 6” beside Frame Clearance. It automatically places the rough opening the specified distance from the wall intersection or neighboring window. It can also be achieved by pulling an extension from the opening’s edge, you will then be able to string a dimension from the wall to the opening and edit the dimension accordingly.
