How do I create a 3.5" partition wall that is bearing?

Select File > Drawing Options > Define Wall > Edit. From the Wall \ Beam Selection, click on Partition 3.5". Select ‘Save As’ and type in a new name. Press Enter to add to the list. Select the new wall type from the Wall \ Beam Selection menu to modify. From the List of Defined Materials, place a checkmark in the column entitled Bearing beside each of the plate and the stud materials.
