How do I add notes to a floor joist layout?

Because floor joists are a part of the floor plan, you cannot add notes until you save the joist plan as a drawing.
To do this, select Generate Drawing from the Joist mode Draw menu. After you save, you can add notes (and
dimensions), to the drawing.
