Can a drawing created in AutoCAD be imported into SoftPlan?
Yes
Version(s): 10, 11
You may import the AutoCAD drawing as a DXF file. Prior to exporting out of AutoCAD, be sure that all blocks have
been exploded, as SoftPlan will not import blocks. Proceed to export the drawing out of AutoCAD as a DXF file. From
the blank drawing screen within SoftPlan, select File > Import > DXF. Move your cursor into the upper left
corner of the drawing screen and select the From button. This will prompt you with the Windows Explorer menu, which
will allow you to navigate to the DXF file for selection. Double click on the file you wish to import. Perform a
Zoom Extent if you do not see the file initially.
